Ford Sync Ad Spread

Here's a magazine spread I put together for an ad agency named 'Team Detroit'. Team Detroit is responsible for most of Ford's advertising campaigns. Sync is Ford's
new voice-activated command system that are in most of their vehicles. The whole connection between the driver and Sync is represented by these little robots who vary from sports, weather and traffic, music commands, turn by turn, etc. The concept was
created by Adam Hull, a great art director over at Team Detroit who was great to work with on this project. I'm pretty pleased by the way it came out, it's also pretty cool that this is going to be featured in Sports Illustrated...so look for it!

The robot was designed by a company called 'Psyop'.

The environment and actual Sync voice wave was designed and put together by me in Photoshop with a little work in Adobe Illustrator.

Clip Of Underground HipHop

Here's a rough clip of the final animation for this...this thing has evolved ALOT...and I'm starting to get sick of it. But nonetheless, I keep wanting to
improve on it and make it as cool as I can and I've also been listening to other people's critiques of it as well (some have been pretty on point and good though).

So check out this version...everything done by me;Maya, After Effects, and sound.

Clip of "Underground HIP HOP"

Here's a little clip from this project, just to give you some idea of where I'm going with this. I've also included another test render with a different color treatment.

FLOW

This is a little something I just did in After Effects. It's a promo for fictional jazz club (think really upscale)...if I had about $500,000 this would be the spot I would open.

VIRUS MOTION GRAPHIC

This is is something I'm putting together for a sample, It's only about 45 seconds long right now but I'm still adding imagery and ideas to it. It's done in a motion graphics program called 'After Effects'.

Dove

This was something I did for a t-shirt design for a local church. Not only was I happy to do it (for it's meaning) but it was nice to switch up mediums and get from 3D for awhile. I was also pretty happy with the composition. Hope you like!

VIRUS

Here's something that I'm working on just for fun...created in Zbrush, Maya and Photoshop.

I'm really just experimenting, trying to find good poses for this character.

CGI Flood Pump

Had to break away from my Ringmaster project to do some real work. This thing is called a 'flood pump' and is used to pump out flood water out of different areas when needed, like in situations that happened in New Orleans (Hurricane Katrina). The client wanted to show the inside of the pump, so they wanted me to do an exact replica of their 'showpiece pump'.
The top pic is the actual pump and below it is what I did. All of it was built,
lighted and rendered in the 3D software MAYA.

I'm kinda proud of it...hope you like it as well!

Ringmaster

This is a concept I'm working on for a character called 'Ringmaster'. It's an idea that I just came up with about this ghoulish, evil, half-dead side show owner who goes from town to town terrorizing people with his side show freaks. I know it's kind of dark, and I don't know if it's because of the kind of mood I'm in these days, but...
He's Modeled, textured, and painted in Zbrush, but eventually I'm going render him in Maya and do some post work in Photoshop. I also kinda sketched a little comp so you can see where I'm going with this guy. Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Final render of 'Creature'

Well, here's a final render of this creature I've been working on...and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it! I hope you like it as well.

I'm going to do maybe a couple of more renders of her and try some different looks...fun!

Some creature digital sculpts

This is a new creature I'm working on in Zbrush. I didn't know exactly where I was going with this character, because originally 'she' was going to be a male humanoid of some kind. However, as I started modeling it I thought it be kind of weird and strange to put some 'breasts' on him...so now he's a her. Stay tuned to how this one's gonna turn out.

Old Man Johnson

Here's something I just did in Zbrush, just trying to improve my skills within the program. Hope you like...

Final renders of Pinhead

Here are the final images for 'Pinhead'...I'm VERY happy how it came out and remain excited about the program I modeled him in, Zbrush IS THE SHIT!

Hellraiser

This is a character from one of my favorite horror movies called "Hellraiser". His name was Pinhead (for obvious reasons) and I always thought he was a uniquely bizarre character when it came to bad guys! You should rent the movie tonight if you haven't seen it.
This is a 'digital sculpt' totally done by me in Zbrush. I'm not totally done with it yet but was pretty excited with how it was coming along.

Enjoy!

CGI arm

Here's an anatomy study of a very 'ripped' arm. It was done in a 3D app called 'Zbrush'.
Very nice and very intuitive piece of software for artists when it comes modeling figures and such. I love the program. You're gonna see more of these from me so stay tuned.

Set Layout for upcoming stage play

Here's a quick little comp I did for a friend of mine who builds sets for stage plays. Him and I have done a lot of these in the past 4 or 5 years and they're actually kinda fun to do. I'm not sure exactly what the play is about but I know most of the scenes take place in this living room area.

White Party Layout

This is an illustration/comp of an event that takes place every year in Detroit where everyone who comes to the party has to dress in white...hence the name "The White Party". This year it's gonna take place on top a building structure right across the street from the Detroit Opera House and not that far from Comerica Park...that should be interesting.

Riverfront property project/color study

This is a new CGI project I'm beginning. I'm working out the shapes and composition right now as you can see. I'm excited about this one because I'm gonna use a new
3D program for the final render...Vue 7 infinite. It's a 'digital environment' software that not only gives you ultra-realistic renders but let's you animate your environment as well...Yessssirrr!

Final renders of CGI Interior

These are the final images for my interior...remember...what you're seeing does not exist and was completely done by me in CGI.

Hope you enjoy them!

"Floor layouts for new sports bar"

These are a couple of floor illustrations for a sports bar that will be opening in downtown Detroit this spring. The name of it will be '44', representing not only the owner's old number...former NBA player Derrick Coleman (who asked me to do these), but all the great athletes who wore that number.

"Underground Comedy Series" stage layout/Final

Well after many revisions this is what I came up with for this project...I tried to stay true to the earlier color study I did. I love color schemes when you put warm colors against cool, the palette hits you right away when you see it and it immediately contrasts background to foreground.

CGI Living Room Interior

This is a CGI interior project I've started...doesn't look like much now, but once I'm
totally done with the modeling, start applying textures, lighting, color-it'll look like a spot you wouldn't mind staying at for awhile.
